Englishman David Turton has been successful in selling over 30 short stories to websites, magazines, podcasts and anthologies and has been shortlisted and long listed in the Sunderland Short Story Award 2019 and 2018, respectively. His debut novel, The Malaise, was released in December 2018 and his second novel, The Psychic of Sachsenhausen, was published in 2022. David lives by the sea in northeast England with his family and enjoys horror movies, women's football, and country walks.
What got you into writing?
"I began writing fiction in 2017. It was kind of a New Year's Resolution kind of thing, to do something a bit different. I've always written as part of my job, so it was a natural step, in a way. I loved it and have never looked back."
