Robert Enrico Sohl is the collective consciousness of billions of units of microscopic organic matter. He was born and raised in southern New Jersey, but has resided in Virginia for the last few decades. He is a husband and the father to two rather peculiar offspring. He is the author and illustrator of the Dead End World series of novels chronicling the unusual adventures of Matt Spike, P.I., and his friends. In addition to those tales, he also enjoys writing horror and fantasy short stories.
What got you into writing?
"It's tough to say, definitively. As far back as I can remember, I was creating stories. Even before I could read or write I was making up elaborate stories and acting them out with my toys to entertain myself. I just always knew that I would write a book someday. In the 4th grade, a local children's author visited my school, and I guess that made my dream seem more possible. My English teachers always seemed to enjoy my work whenever they assigned us any creative writing and were very encouraging."
