Shannon E. Stephan, a mother, English teacher, and writer residing in Florida, penned her first poem at ten years old to cope with the tragic death of a beloved teacher. Today, she writes about living with depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder, all of which stem from decades of religious trauma and preoccupation with sin and death.
